I had trail cam pics of this guy (Lucky)all summer. I went to the stand Sunday morning and was about to get down. Then I saw a doe and a rack of antlers bobbing out of the grass field west of me. Lucky started heading directly my way, so I grabbed the bow. He stopped and bedded down 100 yards out! I waited and watched for movement for an hour. I then snuck out of the stand to come back for the evening. That night, I saw nothing until a little buck came out under me so I started taking video of him. The next thing I knew, the (Lucky) was coming back! I put the camera down to grab my bow, while trying not to spook the buck underneath me. Lucky stopped at the edge of the field and I drew back. The little buck caught me and was watching! I was holding for what seemed like forever…..Then Lucky stepped out about 35 yards, quartering away. I bleated at him to stop twice before he did, then he and the little buck were looking my way! I let the 2 blade Rage fly, and sat down to compose myself. I sat for an hour, then decided to wait till morning to begin the search. Jason Loose and my buddy Travis helped me track him back into the grass field about 40 yards from where he bedded down that morning! I haven’t been more excited in my life! Lucky was down, my biggest buck and best day ever. Thanks guys!
