After watching this buck  chase a doe into a slew and didnt see the pair exit, we assumed the pair bedded down in the rushes. I set up north of the slew and had my sister walk in from the south. She kicked up a small buck with this monster 4 by 5 witha doe he chased in. He exited towards me and stopped 80 yards away where I dropped him. Check out those brow tines!

Well me and my brother had been planing a weekend trip and after weeks of it falling through we finaly were going to go. We got up there the night befor talked to the guy we were staying with and got up the next morning and we were headed out got to my tree a litle late. the morning started out real slow saw a decent buck in the distance and rattled in a small buck also so around 11:30 we went and got some lunch. Soon after we headed back out it had got real windy and I was sitting in a diffrent spot then in the morning. where I was sitting it was just way to windy so I got down and moved a couple hundred yards down the hill side. Soon after I moved I seen a buck making a rub I grunted and he didnt hear it due to the wind. So he started to walk away so I rattled and the next thing I know here he comes out of some think brush and was about 35 yards away I waited for the right shot and the next thing I know I was listing to him crash. Went back and met my brother and a friend and went and got him out and had a blast hunting with my brother. Sorry I dont have any field pictures.

I went to the mountain to try and fill a doe tag or 4 that I had left for our muzzle loader season in Unit A. In Unit L where I live it is 3 does a doe for the entire season but in A it is 9 total. The place I hunt is covered in does and the landowners want some thinned out. I got on stand in the morning but all the deer were in a field with just enough limbs in the way that I didn’t have a shot. That afternoon I found a good spot where I could ground hunt and got set up around 2:00 pm. At 2:48 I heard the first shot and listened to others shoot around me until I finally saw the first doe at about 3:45. I watched her feed toward me and had a spot picked where I wanted to take my shot but she turned about 100 yards away and went into an overgrown field. Less than a minute later I saw another one coming down the same trail. She turned to take the same trail giving me a broadside shot. I hit her with a perfect double lung with my .45, she ran about 30 yards and dropped. I took her to a needy family that lives down the road from me to help fill their freezer.

Saw this deer early in archery season. Rattled him in, but could not get a shot. Hunted him hard through muzzleloader in drenching rains. Had him broadside at 30 yards and muzzleloader didn’t fire - powder got wet! Continued to put in time and hunted him by tracking the late season does. Finally got him in rifle.

Me and my dad were sitting against a tree, we were watching a bunch of deer. We took off on a dead run after a buck and two does, my dad stopped and told me to get down, i looked over and there he was. A doe jumped the fence about 75 yards away, then the buck followed hot on her trail, and i shot and hit him in the heart. My dad spent an hour looking for blood but he’s colorblind. Me and my step mom were sitting on top of a gobnob and my dad came back and said he was down.

Actually got trail cam pictures of this buck 2 years in a row. Shot him last year on Halloween weekend, but I pushed a bad shot when he was quartering to me. But after trail camera pictures of him this year I hung a new stand and was fortunate enough to kill him just as it was breaking day. Biggest deer I’ve ever taken and first deer I’ve taken with a bow. He green scored 156 and weighed in at just over 215lbs.

I have been hunting hard from sep.10 on.I saw a couple of good bucks early season but know shots.Starting holloween I started putting more time in my stand than sleep waiting for the one.Up to this point I have seen little to no rutting activity so when this 9 came over the hill I knew I was going to try an take this buck.He was about 30 yards out coming down the bluff behind he.I thought he was headed strait for the numerous ester bombs I had out.He was moving at a pritty good pace and started to turn the wrong way so I grunted at him and I think he went faster.At this point I was up and ready so I came to full draw put my pin on the sweet spot and let it go.It happened so fast I didn’t even know if it was a hit.Darkness was not far away so I got down packed up my climber and all my gear and walked back to the truck.When I got back the first thing I saw was blood and I only had to track him about 50to60 yards.I still have two more buck tags so I cant wait untill my next hunt.                           BY FILTHY-RED

I was very upset headed to my stand because there was a log cutter up on top of the hill where i was headed that he had ran over at least 10 baby oak trees with his tractor! I just had a feeling today wasnt going to be a good night after all the commotion from the spliter. It was 4:35 and I called my dad up saying where are the deer at. I heard some noise to my left, sounded like 2 deer running. I seen through the thicket a rack moving up and down he was marking his territory with a rub. Here came the doe walking out and I thought she was going to pick the trail that went to my tree that i was sitting in the day before. Sure enough here she came walking 10 yards from me and the buck right behind her. Now all I am thinking about is just let me get my bow pulled back. I got it back and he was walking straight to me so I aimed for his spine and hit 2 inches to the left going right down through his boiler room. He ran 20 yards stopped started wobbling and ran 10 yards where he fell over to expire. This is my stats for the year, ?48 stands, 152 hours, 48 bucks, 75 doe, 13 not sure, 7 button.

Took this nice 8 pointer with my Mission Venture after he came in to investigate 4 smaller bucks chasing does and sparring in standing corn.He went into the corn and cleaned house had small bucks and does running all around me.He came out and I grunted him in and stopped him at 25 yds.Complete pass through double lung he went about 150 yds.I’ll say it again I love my Mission Venture!I have harvested over 300 inches of bone in 2 bucks after being away from bow hunting for 30 yrs.I can’t wait till next season.
