Caught about 10 bass all around this size in the evening. Also caught some big rock bass. The biggest bass, which made these look little, got off at the boat when I was getting the net.

Left to go back out to the stand around 2:30 after a hearty lunch. Finally got to my
stand around 3 PM. There was a huge ridge in front of me and I saw what I thought to be a deer
running on top of the ridge, so I grunted a couple of times at it. Next thing I know
I can hear this deer snorting and running down this huge ridge at me. All of a
sudden he was standing there at 15 yds facing me. I was getting ready to shoot him
and all of a sudden my backpack clip hit the stand and made a ping sound. The buck
froze in order to bust me, but then he decided to trot broadside to me 15 yds behind
me. I pulled up the shotgun and took care of business, he fell about 30 yds from the
stand. This was my first ever wall hanger, so it was hard to keep calm. He net
scored 157″ field dressed at 225. What a wonderfull season.
